After breakfast, we will embark on a drive from Kathmandu to Manthali, enjoying the diverse landscapes, lush valleys, and charming villages. Upon arrival at Manthali take a 35-minute scenic flight to Lukla, our skilled local porters will welcome us. Following that, you’ll trek for approximately 3 to 4 hours to reach Phakding (3440m) and spend the night at the guesthouse.

After breakfast today, we will walk along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it several times on exciting suspension bridges with prayer flags. The trail gradually climbs from Larja Dobhan into Sagarmatha National Park, giving us amazing views of Namche Bazaar, the main entry point to Everest. We will spend the night at a tea house in Namche Bazaar.

Today, we’ll rest in Namche to help our bodies get used to the higher altitude. We’ll walk to Hotel Everest View in Syangboche and stay there for the day. The three-hour walk gives us amazing views of mountains, valleys, Ama Dablam, Everest, and Thamserku. After exploring, we’ll have breakfast and head back to Namche the same way, where we’ll stay overnight at a tea house.

The trek to Phortse Village takes us approximately 3 to 4 hours from Namche. The trek is moderately difficult. The trekking route to Phortse from Namche starts with a bit of descent towards the Dudh Koshi River. Following the river, the trek gradually ascends towards Phortse, a traditional Sherpa village situated at 3810 meters. From Phortse, we can see the breathtaking views of Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Today we will spend a night in Phortse village.

Today we will trek to Pngboche which is located in the Khumbu region. The trek from Phortse to Pangboche is moderately difficult and takes almost 2 to 3 hours, offering scenic views of the breathtaking Himalayas including Ama Dablam and Thamserku. The trekking trail descends gradually towards the Imja Khola, then ascends towards the Pangboche. After a few hours, we will reach Pangboche. Overnight we will stay at a comfortable tea house.

The trek from Pangbboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp is a little bit challenging and takes us approximately 6 to 7 hours, offering a breathtaking view of the Himalayas, including Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Mount Everest. Following the same trekking trail, we will return to Pangboche, where we will stay at a cozy tea house.

Today we will gradually descend to Dingboche, which will take us around 3 to 4 hours. The trekking trail offers us a beautiful view of the Himalayan peaks, including Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Mount Everest. We will start a trek with a little ascent toward the Upper Pangboche and descend to the Imja Khola River. After crossing the suspension bridge, we will take a gentle ascent to Dingboche. Overnight we will stay at a tea house.

After breakfast, the 5 to 6-hour hike to Lobuche begins. A leisurely two-and-a-half hours from Dingboche leads to lunch at Thukla. The challenging Thukla Pass follows, featuring a memorial site honoring Everest climbers. After a 45-minute ascent, the trek continues towards Lobuche. This final stop before Everest Base Camp offers views of Pumori, Lobuche Peak, and Nuptse.

Embark on a trek on foot from Lobuche towards Gorakshep after having breakfast. Check-in at the Gorakshep teahouse upon arrival and enjoy lunch there. Following lunch, head towards the main destination of the trek, Everest Base Camp. The round-trip trek from Gorak Shep to EBC takes approximately three to four hours. During this journey, you’ll come across the renowned Khumbu glacier and have the opportunity to witness Khumbutse, Changtse, Lingtren, Pumori, Nuptse, Nuptse Sar, and the majestic Everest up close. The area is adorned with yellow tents during the expedition season, providing a captivating sight for visitors. After exploring Base Camp, descend to Gorakshep.

We will resume our trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar today after having breakfast. Something special awaits us on the trekking agenda as we rise early to catch a pre-sunrise view without any cloud cover. The hike will take approximately three hours in total, including the time spent on the journey back. Upon reaching Kala Patthar, you can witness the renowned Everest sunrise or sunset. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views of Hillary Peak, Lhotse, Everest, Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, and Lingtren. After exploring, descend along the trail towards Pheriche, cherishing every moment of the ascent, marking the journey’s completion.

This marks the conclusion of your 15-day Ama Dablam trek, including a visit to Everest Base Camp nestled in the mountains. Following breakfast, we’ll retrace our path back to Lukla, descending steeply along the Dudh Koshi River until we reach Monjo. From there, the trail gradually leads to Lukla, with both ascents and descents.

Today, early in the morning, we will fly from Lukla to Manthali, which will take approximately 35 minutes, followed by a return flight. Then we’ll drive four to five hours to Kathmandu. When you arrive, you will be taken to your hotel and free to tour the city.
